How 3 square metres of graphics fit different window sizes
Our standard 3m² graphic package is designed for flexibility — perfect for a wide range of window layouts. Whether your window is wide and short, tall and narrow, or somewhere in between, we size and install your graphics to maximise visual impact.
The yellow-highlighted examples show how 3m² of vinyl graphics can be adapted to different shapes and proportions. These layouts are approximate and intended to help you visualise the coverage included in your package.
If your window falls outside these examples, no problem — we’ll provide a custom quote to match your exact requirements. Get in touch for a tailored estimate based on your window layout.
Example layouts shown:
- • Wide & low: 2m × 1.5m (3m²)
- • Medium rectangle: 3m × 1m (3m²)
- • Tall & narrow: 1m × 3m (3m²)
- • Long narrow: 4m × 0.75m (3m²)
* Layouts are approximate and for illustration only. Final sizing may vary slightly to allow for installation trimming and site conditions. Any changes affecting price will be agreed with you before work begins.
Not sure which layout fits your window? Send photos and measurements via WhatsApp and we’ll confirm the best option and final price.
⚠ Important Notice:
Please ensure that your windows are thoroughly cleaned and free from any existing graphics before installation.
Removing old graphics can be labour‑intensive, and for cost‑effectiveness we recommend that customers arrange to have them removed in advance (this can often be done by an unskilled person), rather than during installation.
This preparation guarantees your new graphics are applied flawlessly and with maximum durability.

Frequently Asked Questions
The life expectancy depends on the type of vinyl and where it’s applied:
- Cut‑out vinyl graphics: 5–8 years with proper care.
- Full‑colour prints without lamination: 3–5 years before noticeable fading, as inks are more exposed to UV and weather.
- Full‑colour prints with lamination: 5–7 years or more, as the clear laminate adds UV and scratch protection.
- Frosted vinyl: Often lasts longest, 7–10 years in normal indoor use.
All materials are affected by conditions such as direct sunlight, heat, weather exposure, and general maintenance.
Yes. Window graphics are removable and can be peeled off carefully. Small jobs can usually be done by hand with the help of a hairdryer to soften the adhesive. An adhesive remover will clean up any sticky residue. For larger or older graphics, professional removal is recommended to avoid damage and save time.
In most cases, yes. They can be applied to shopfront windows, office partitions, glass doors, and even vehicle windows. During quoting we will check suitability and advise if certain surfaces need extra preparation.
It depends on the material chosen:
- Grey‑backed full‑colour vinyl: Blocks most light and visibility, ideal for privacy.
- White‑backed vinyl: Allows some light but blocks visibility from outside.
- Perforated vinyl (one‑way vision): You see out, customers see the advert outside, with light still entering.
- Frosted vinyl: Blurs shapes while letting in natural light, offering privacy without darkening.
- Clear vinyl printing: Shows your design while keeping visibility and light; white ink backing can be used for sharper colours.
For complete blackout or maximum privacy, grey‑backed vinyl is best. For brighter interiors, frosted, perforated, or clear vinyl may be better.
Please ensure the glass is thoroughly cleaned and free of dust, grease, and any old graphics. This is important for proper adhesion and longevity. We often request photos of your windows before booking installation, so we can check for preparation needs.
From artwork approval to installation, typical turnaround is 5–7 working days. Larger projects or very complex designs may take a little longer.
Yes. If you don’t have artwork ready, we can design it for you. Simply share your logo, message, or idea and our team will prepare a professional mock‑up for your approval before printing.
If you already have your own design, we’ll happily guide you to make sure it’s set up correctly for high‑quality results.
If we’re creating a design from scratch based on your idea, there will be a design charge. The cost depends on the size and details of your project, and we’ll confirm it clearly with you before any work begins.
Yes and no.
- Simple cut vinyl or frosting: Price is the same for inside or outside (we just reverse‑cut if applied from inside).
- Full‑colour graphics: Installing outside on ground‑floor windows is usually straightforward and slightly cheaper. If installed inside, we must mirror‑print onto clear vinyl and back it with white vinyl, which adds extra material and labour cost.
- Upper‑floor windows: We usually apply from the inside for safety — except one‑way vision vinyl, which must go outside to work. External installs needing scaffolding or access equipment may add to the cost.
No. This must be confirmed before production. If graphics are prepared for outside but applied inside, they will appear mirrored.
- Outside glass is easier to access and gives the cleanest finish.
- Inside installs can be blocked by counters, furniture, or fittings.
- Interior obstacles can leave sections uncovered, which looks unprofessional from outside.
- Changing graphics later has the same challenges.
That said, if you want graphics installed from inside, it’s best to do this before fitting furniture or fixtures.
There is no strict maximum size — graphics are printed to your window requirements. Very large panes (over approx. 1200mm wide x 3000mm high) are installed in multiple vertical drops with joints, similar to wallpaper.
Window graphics are waterproof and weather resistant, but should be cleaned gently:
- Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild soapy water.
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasives.
- Take extra care at the edges, where graphics are most vulnerable.
Graphics can be removed without damaging the glass. A heat gun or hairdryer softens the adhesive, a plastic scraper lifts the edges, and adhesive remover cleans up any residue.
For offices or commercial buildings with large glass panes, UK law (Workplace Regs 1992 & Building Regs Part M) requires graphics to prevent accidents.
- Manifestation is usually applied in two horizontal bands (between 850–1000mm and 1400–1600mm from the floor).
- Designs must contrast with the background in all light conditions.
- Commonly created using frosted film, bands, or logo repeats.
- Logos should be at least 150mm high, or decorative bands at least 50mm high.
Manifestation can also double as branding or decorative design.
No. One‑way vinyl depends on outside being brighter than inside. At night, with indoor lights on, people outside can see in. For privacy after dark, use blinds or curtains.
